Better Option is to Execute a Mutually Acceptable Contract only when the Contracting Parties especially the One " looking for a Subsistnce, as it were, in the shape of Employment" and so operating from Non-Strength Position, thoughtfully Understood the Implications of entering Employment Contract for longet Period.
Still Better Option is to INCULCATE a Surrounding where the Employed-Ones are Empowered to Evolve as Achiever and continue to Be and Remain So, Lifelong/Till Superannuation. There are Establishment/Organization in ourSociety who are So Built and Thrive on that ADVANTAGE.
