I have written letters to the The Regional Commissioner, Employees Provident Fund, No.3-4-763, Barkatpura Chaman, Hyderabad, Telangana – 500 027 and to The Commissioner of Labor, Govt. of Telangana, TAKS Bhavan, R T C Crtoss Roads,
Behind Devi Theatre, Chikkadpalli, Viveknagar, Himayathnagar, Hyderabad, Telangana – 500 020 both dated 08-11-2018. No reply or action noticed from both the addresses. The details as follows: 1. “If you inspect various Engineering and Academic colleges, and also the schools, in and around the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, and also in entire Telangana State, you can ascertain the fact that, that who are working in these colleges or schools neither have EPF or ESI contributions (which is mandatory in the establishments who are employing 10 or more employees) deducted at source nor any record maintained in this regard. If the deductions are done, the amounts are not deposited with the EPF or ESI against the employees, denying the benefits under the ESI Rules 1948 particularly Chapter V, to its employees. These practices are clear intentional ignorance of the welfare of the employees in roll, on the part of the college and school managements. You are requested to note here that almost all these employees are unorganized employees.” 2. “A lot of temporary unorganized employees are either working or retrenched from their duties for various reasons known to their employers. Some of these unorganized employees are issued with Unique Account Numbers (UAN) for E.P.F. Those who are allotted UAN numbers want to make final withdrawal or part final withdrawal from their EPF accounts, that are their own hard earned money, but in the withdrawal application form, it is mandatory to get the signature of their employers, which is uncalled for. Because, the employer either refuse to sign on the withdrawal application forms (for the reasons known to him) or the employer is expired or absconding. When the employees are issued the Unique Account Numbers (UAN) for their E.P.F., what is the necessity to get the signatures of the employers? UAN are issued without photos of the employees. But there are lots of Govt. approved personal identities in place with these employees for their identifications such as Adhaar cards, Voter Identity cards etc. Therefore, kindly remove the signature of the employers from the EPF withdrawal forms of these unorganized poor employees, perhaps illiterate, so that they will be able to claim their money back with interest, for their extreme necessities. This will also help the Govt. to do away with the huge unclaimed EPF funds mounting in the concerned Departments please.”
Kindly advise me what further action I can take.
