Dear all please find an attachment of gom gazetted notification dated 05.01.2017 amending applicability of contract labour act. according to this amendment now contract labour act will be applicable to every establishment employing 50 and more contract labours. presuming that no one has posted this notification on this site up till now i am posting it here. to site administrator / moderators there is no appropriate category to post government notifications / labour law amendments and therefore i chose the category "employee compensation & benefits".

Amendent of registration certificate under c.l.(r&a)act
Hello friends i am reproducing below the clarification to my query on amendment of registration certificate under contract labour r&aact1970 published in june07 issue of law under column hrworkplace solutions q. while outsourcing security services we need our original registration certificate to the concerned authority for amendment all the time of extension of their service period which normally happens four times in a year because initial contract period is of three months at one time. since no. of security guards remain same would it be legal for us to simply notify the extension of contract period to the authority without sending them the registration for incorporating amendment ? a. no under provisions of contract labour r&a act you are under obligation to get your registration certificate amended in case of either change in the number of contract employees or extension of contract period. simply notifying the extension of contract period without getting proper amendment in the registration certificate will not hold valid. i suggest instead of extending the contract every quarter you may have the contract for a period of one year to avoid the hassles of sending the registration certificate for amendment time and again whole the year. by having contract at least for a period of one year you will only be required to get your registration amended once in a year. you will save time and money both by this way. hope this will be of help to you in your profession. however if you have got any other views on this matter please post the same. skhota ltd.bolangirorissa email: hota_saroj06yahoo.co.in

Dear sir/mam i am facing some issues related to contract labour. my first issue is security on contract comes under contract labour act or not and the second issue is a canteen jcb bus and staff of third party service also comes under contract labour regulation and abolition act pls help me to come out from this problem.

Hello can you help me regarding cotract labour we are having registration for 100 contract labour but now the number of the contract labour is going to increase by 50 so there is any procedure by law to make any amendment application for the same or any advice how the same can be done.
