If you’re not regularly auditing yourself, your habits, schedule, and the way you treat your own life, you will never be in control.
People who don’t make progress toward their goals all they have 1 common thing:
self
Instead, you will always find that unproductive people stay caught in a ferocious cycle of always looking to the future. Such people just want to know when things are going to change, when they will get a promotion, when they will be able to take the leap from their 9-5, when their side hustle will become profitable.
All of these “when” statements aim are forward facing — and that’s the problem.
People who actually achieve their goals make time to audit their actions and daily routine.
They look back on the past week, month, quarter, even year, looking for ways they could have performed better. They look for times they were distracted. They question how many days they let themselves down. And then, most of all, they ask themselves what they could do differently moving forward to solve for those bad habits.
