Hi all,
I worked for a company headquartered in Mumbai. I suffered from severe health issue (pneumonia and typhoid) and was under medical treatment and strict diet. Meanwhile, I was advised to relocate to a different state with a notice just of 15 days which was not possible for me to accept. I spoke to my manager and could understand that my non relocation would hamper the company's activity and hence I decided to resign stating my health issue. I put my resignation to my manager on 12th of Nov 2018 and my manager confirmed the acceptance on 13th of Nov 2018 , he asked me to follow up with the H.R
for the releasing formalities as per the policy. The employement contract says 45 days of non negotiable notice period. The H.R. of the company has assigned one of my colleague to collect the office stationeries and the laptop on 29th of Nov 2018, also he asked me to sign a non disclosure and non compete agreement on the same date (29th of Nov 2018).
I was repeatedly asking for my final dates of relieve to the HR with different emails on different dates to which the HR never responded. Today (07-01-2019), the H.R. sends me an email stating that my last working day was considered on 12th of Nov 2018 (almost 56 days back) and my F&F settlement would be considered till that date only. Meanwhile, I also have sent my official attendance as per the format of the company on 20th of Nov 2018. This entire process is making a threat to my career as this will make a negative impact on my future career opportunities. The reason being I don't have any justification for this 56 days of unemployement.
Request to suggest on what shall I do. I already have sent an email to the HR requesting reconsideration of the dates.
