My one of friend asked about some employee engagement activities. Management asked to implement activities like in TCS .
He said like critical thinking but We have no idea in details if anyone from TCS HR or know anything about this pl share your ideas and activities. Pl urgent

Every organisation has a culture that is unique to itself. You may draw inspiration from the likes of TCS, but the dynamics of your organisation might require you to engage your employees in a manner that meets your purpose. I suggest, you evaluate your employees and arrive at specific objectives and the outcomes that you desire to attain. Be specific on the results you wish to achieve. I am sure there are a lot of people in this community who can help you with the specific inputs.

What is the nature of your industry? Are you from IT company? What is the size of your company? What is headcount?
Small companies can benchmark against the industry leaders. However, bench-marking is defined as evaluate (something) by comparison with a standard. Therefore, you may benchmark your company against TCS for attrition rate or other project evaluation metrics but you cannot benchmark for the HR policies as such. Just think for a while. If TCS were to conduct the employee engagement survey then will HR from that company approach on this forum or he/she will handle on his/her own?
The dynamics or the organisation culture of TCS will be completely different from yours. Are you at par with TCS's recruitment standards, training standards or any other standards? If not, then imitation may not work well.
Yes, conducting the employee engagement survey is important but it need not be benchmarked against TCS per se. Secondly, in your post, you have also referred about "critical thinking". Do you want to promote culture of critical thinking in your company? If yes, then you may do so but it has nothing to do with employee engagement as such. His company is Software company with 40+ employees and my friend is very confused which activities should implement on daily basis. Management wants daily some engagement activities which can enhance company environment and employee also learn new skills through such activities. They telling to retain employees its require because only continuous work and work not fruitful. If I am wrong any where pl correct me and suggest me what to do?

We have no idea about critical thinking in depth. His management given just an example that TCS and IT companies implemented such activities for employees for retention. Please sir give me some clarification about Critical thinking activities.

1. organize team building activities: for example team sports, recreational activities and team outings
2. improve their physical surroundings.
3. encourage them to be creative.
4. give financial rewards and incentives wherever necessary.
5. recognize them for what they do
