Why hr & admin club together in organisation ?
Dear all i dont understand why hr and admin under the same head ? hr & admin is not linked and related.admin job is most non technical & any graduate can also perform the duties with little or no experiencewhich is not the case for hr.hr is mostly performed by specialist and professionals. hr needs to have interpersonal skills communication skills listening abilities friendly considerate etc. wherein for admin you dont need any of these skills necessarily. most of the mid level/ lower level/start ups have admin and hr under the same banner to reduce cost. appreciate to have feedback of the seniors. thanks ab.
Hr or admin? what should i do?
I hav done 2007 & working in a co where there is no hr dept frm last 8 days. the job is hr admin. i hav 2 handle all admin activities. the hr activities are very less or not at all. it was told 2 me that job is hr admin like 60hr & 40 admin. but it looks like it is pure amin. now i m confused. shoud i continue with this or should i leave. will this experience be useful for me in my career? plz help me. its urgent

Hello all seniors plz help me & save my career i have done & working in a small company as asst executive hr. but the name is only hr. there nothing related with hr. so i want to change my job. i have already asked a query about this in one of our discussion sections. but many suggested that i should continue the job. but if i continue the job then will this experience as an administrator will give me a good job as hr executive? does admin experience is counted for hr jobs? to make a career in hr is this admin job ok? should i change my job before its too late? please guide me. i m very confused. i need you help as sonn as possible regards kunal
Hr vs admin
Every management institute conducts courses like mba in hr. hr as a career has grown over the years. i know the job profile of hr and also the job profile of admin. it is said that a hr person can do a admin job but an admin person cannot do a hr job. if both the fields are different in terms of functions why many companies club them and call it as " hr & admin dept". hr is all about managing human resources. admin is all about managing day to day activities of the organization for eg. managing the establishment keeping the premises safe and clean transportation canteen management etc. in today s age of specialization why do companies expect hr person to do admin job when they can afford to keep a separate person for admin. i know this question may have been asked several times on this forum but this time i want a clear answer. 1. should a person who has done mba in hr go for hr & admin role or only look for hr? 2. is it right to club hr & administration? please throw some light on this topic because not everyone wants to go for admin profile
