Signature on salary slip is not mandatory if the slip is computer generated.

As informed by one of our learned members if you feel it necessary to put signature as mandatory let it be at the HR Executive level or at the most HR Manager. Directors need not be disturbed for routine operational matters is what I too believe.

Issuing/obtaining a signed, or atleast stamped pay slip is most desirable from the point of view of employees, especially in case they are required to substantiate their present emoluments when they on look out for better opportunities. Of course Form 16 will help but where full details/components/CTC is discussed additional documents are required. Banks may insist for 'salary certificate' for last one year or IT Return copies instead of Salary slips. Notwithstanding, bachelors/brides to be definitely require a copy of their 'salary slips', duly authenticated.
