Dear Members, I need your assistance to understand how to go about resolving the issue.

Present PF Details

Present PF: PY/KRP/
Previous PF: WB/PRB/
Pre-Previous PF: TH/THA/EXM/43355

When I applied to transfer my PF account from my previous account, it was rejected twice. Upon inquiry with the PF office, I received the following responses:

"In response to the instant grievance, it is to inform that the claim in F/13 in respect of the concerned member has been rejected as the pensionable service has not been received from TH/THA/EXM/43355. Hence, it is requested to submit the claim after with the required documents."

After contacting my previous employer, they asked me to submit a manual claim to transfer EPS, but it got rejected due to a zero balance. Since then, they have not taken any action in this regard.

It would be of great help if anyone could guide me on what needs to be done in this regard.

Before transferring the PF online

Check whether the following details are available with you.

i. The member should have activated their UAN in the UAN portal, and the mobile number used for activation should also be active.

ii. The bank account and bank IFSC code of the employee should be seeded against the UAN. Seeding the Aadhaar number and PAN against UAN is not mandatory for raising transfer claims.

iii. The employer should have approved the e-KYC.

iv. The previous/current employer should have digitally registered authorized signatories in EPFO.

v. The PF account number of both previous and current employment of an employee should be entered in the EPFO database.

vi. Only one transfer request against the previous member ID can be accepted.

vii. Personal information and PF account-related information shown in EPFO should be correct.

Procedure to transfer PF online

Step 1: Log in to the Unified portal (member interface) using your credentials, i.e., UAN number and password.

Step 2: After logging in, click on 'One Member – One EPF Account (Transfer Request)' under Online Services.

Step 3: Verify personal information and PF account for present employment.

Step 4: PF account details of previous employment will appear upon clicking on 'Get details' below.

Step 5: You have the option of choosing either your previous employer or current employer for attesting the claim form based on the availability of an authorized signatory holding DSC. Choose either of the employers and provide the member ID/UAN.

Step 6: In the next step, click on 'Get OTP' to receive an OTP to the UAN registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on submit.
