The entire monthly remuneration is target base probably not right. It may have two parts- one fix part (minimum wages or close to that) and another part target base ( sales incentive with some scale for motivation. e.g. for target A Salary amount is B and with the increase of target % Salary amount will also increase.
For the time being you may pay them pro-rata basis based on your existing target vs disbursement of salary.
Talk to them, explain properly and then go ahead. It should not be one way traffic.
