If any person is about to retire but the company wants him/her to extend their retirement duration what is the procedure for the same.

The establishment can pass an order extending the service and specify the period of extension. But this means there is continuity in service and its possible consequence. As a suggestion, it is proposed that why not retire the employee in the first place as per rules, then again reemploy the same person on a new set of terms and conditions, possibly on Fixed Term Appointment basis. So you will be following the rules and there is no exception to it but at the same time while there is no real break in service, yet there is no continuity for various service benefits.
