If it is only a question of improper records, then make them up to date. But if there are issues of non compliance,it is bound to come up during inspection.
The organisation had better consult a labour advocate and find ways to sort out issues by paying the fines etc.

It is highly advisable to update and prepare your records (duly tallied) before the date of said meeting with ESIC authority. In my experience, ESIC authorities are very open to transparent discussion. On request of additional time needed to complete and present documentation, they mostly allow.
Some compliance professionals get themselves and their organisations in trouble while trying to outsmart government authorities.
Open and transparent discussion (with the authorities) over mandatory record compliance will give you opportunity to set things right.
