Dear all we have our office at factory premises where as the factory is registered in the name of xyz firm and my office is registered in the name of abc question is right now we falls under which act and number of our strength is 19 of office staff?

What records are checked by the various labour compliance dept like labor office pf dept and esi dept when they come for inspection? does the change into new labour codes change the way in which we maintain records? how does complaince increase or decrease for small shops after new codes have come? does small factory with 8 employees need to do any changes after new codes are launched?

How many past years compliance records like wages registers attendance esi records pf records should be maintained? also till when should factories keep appointment letters and resignation letters of left employees? employee left in 2015. his records are needed to be kept? what happens if factory lost these records? also should factories keep all records if there is a labour case/pf case pending in court from 2010? if yes then should the records be kept after 2010 also or only just records pertaining to the case?
