We have separate ESI codes of Registered office at Mumbai & for our plant in other location.
ESI had informed us that all the records such as Trial balance, P&L, Cash Vouchers, Wages register, ESI challans & receipts are required to be produced at the Regd office at Mumbai for inspection. We had requested ESI to initiate inspection of Head office & the plant separately as the records would be easily available at their respective locations. But ESI had issued letter referring ESI Act clause of Sec 44(3) & informed to maintain records at Regd office.
Will you please guide how to deal in this situation.
