Dear Seniors,
I need information about "for any private company how many National Holidays can be given in a year as per Karnataka govt?. Which these holidays are mandatory to any type of industry? And what are those holidays?
It is very great full, if you provide with proof.
What is the process? Please share details.....

Please go through the provisions of the Karnataka Industrial Establishments (National and Festival Holidays) Act, 1963. You can find answers to all your questions relating to the grant of National and Festival holidays to all industrial establishments both in the Public and Private sectors situated in the State of Karnataka. For any further doubts in this regard, you may please revert back to the forum.

Dear All,
I am HR Manager in a Partnership Firm, which is registered under Karnataka Shops & establishment act. Please confirm the rules and regulations i have to follow to do the leave policy. How many paid leaves are allowed to be given i.e how many earned leave, casual leave and sick leave to be given. Is it compulsory to give 10 days holiday(festival & National ). Incase of any festival falling on saturday which is not a working day should we compensate with another festival holiday. I have read through the Karnataka Shops and Establishment act, however i am very much confused, as there are amendments which have been done. Request someone to please guide me.
