Hi
Can anybody gimme clarity on the PF contribution by the employer. Is it so that both the Employer and the employee's contribution recovered from the Basic salary. If so, that would drastically bring down the Take home salary of the employee. Can someone please explain this. Looking forward to the information.
Thank You

Dear Kiranbhogade,
Your contribution is Rs. 601, which is 12% of the salry.
Hence your salary may be Rs. 5010.
8.33% of salary, i.e. Rs. 417 will go to EPS/Pension Fund
and balance Rs. 184 (601-417) will go to PF account as employer's contribution.
