IITD Expert Faculty: Mr Samir
Samir is post graduate in Human Resources from Pune University. He also possess Diploma in Labour Laws from Symbiosis College. Samir has 28 years of work experience out of which 20 years he is working in Multinational Companies and 8 years he spent in Indian conglomerates.
In his latest assignment at US MNC, he was the Country Director for HR, IR, legal, EHS and CSR. For 20 years, he headed the HR function and worked as part of the Country/Division Management Team.
In Lear Corporation he led the team of 60+ professionals in creating and implementing HR practices and processes to enable significant change in organisational results. In this role he made significant cultural change resulting attrition % from 28% to 7%. He revamped people policies and systems to support changing needs of the business. His Leadership Development intervention groomed 25 leaders out of which few took management positions in his tenure.
He has worked extensively in the areas of HR Processes & Systems; Scorecard based interviewing, Succession Planning & Talent Management, Organisational structuring & Development, Facilitation, Coaching, Employee Retention & Employee Engagement, EHS, Industrial Relations and CSR.
Samir is a Certified Mentor. He has certification in Predictive Index, GhSmart Interviewing Methodology and handled Thomas Profiling. He has been trained on 6 Sigma & lateral thinking methodology.
