Is PF/ESI mandatory for temporary employee?
please elaborate what do you mean by a temporary employee. Do you mean an employee on a fixed term contract or under probation.
Under probation period i.e three months.
For anyone earning upto a basic(+DA) of Rs. 15k, contribution to PF is mandatory. For anyone earning a basic(+DA) of more than Rs. 15k, contribution to PF is mandatory only if the subscriber was contributing to PF previously.
This applies to all the organizations that falls under the purview of PF act 1952.
