Kindly help me to understand how the big companies maintain payroll by disbursing salary by the last day of the month, I use to got final attendance by 1st day of the month then calculation and prepare all the documents takes at least two days. so I use to disburse salary by 3 or 4.if I choose a manual month like 21st of July to 20th Aug 2018. then there would be problem with PF, ESIC & TDS Calculation.

Please close the attendance by 25th of every month and take the provisional attendance from 26th to last day of the month. If they are absent or availing LOP Leave, then adjust in next month salary.
As you have prepared the Paysheet for the month, you need not to have any tension about remittance of PF & ESI Contribution.

if employees or more you can disburse salary upto 10th of next month, depends upon the manpower
