Urgent - calculation of basic & hra %
Dear all can any one guide me on normally industry standard says of basic pay shold be 40 45 of gross salary but some companies aslo take 6070 of gs though i know there is no such fixed rule as per law on basic pay 1.my question is if we take less percentage of basic what will be the benefit to employee? 1. benefit to employer less pf contribution to be made. 2. benefit to employee ? is hra linked to basic pay like lower the basic more deduction employee can get on 2.what is hra i know it is 42 45 i am correct for eg: if gross salary is 10000 basic 40 of gross : 4000 hra 42 of basic : 1680 please guide me on the percentages...as i am designing the salary breakup for construction chemicals company. regards priyanka

Dear all employers fix gross pay as basic pay. there is no bifurcation of gross pay. don t want to bifurcate basic conveyance etc. so now a days due to these reason employers are having alternative but employees suffer and the same is accepted by the statutory authority.is it justified mk verma

Hello everyone. i am currently studying hr and need your help on a topic i am confused about. can the hra be any percent of the basic/gross salary? i mean can an employer pay say 10 or maybe 15 of the gross salary as hra or does it have to be a minimum of 40 percent of basic pay for nonmetros and 50 percent for metros. i am so confused on this so please help. hoping for a reply.
Is hra included when calculating gross pay for pf cutoff
Hello i understand that hra and conveyance allowances are not included in calculation of employee / employer contribution towards pf. but is it considered when calculating the gross pay for pf cut off limit of 15000? for example consider the following salary basic 8800/ da 4400/ 50 of basic hra 5280/ 40 of basic da conveyance allowance 1600/ gross pay 20080/ here basic da is 13200 which is below 15000. but gross salary is above 15000. is it mandatory to contribute to pf for this employee? also is pf applicable for interns/apprentices?
