Dear sir Plz Let me know whether a worker/employee can work for 6 consecutive days in a week as per Factory act.
30th June 2018 From India, Bhubaneswar
As per the Factories Act 1948, every adult (a person who has completed 18 years of age) cannot work for more than 48 hours in a week and not more than 9 hours in a day. According to Section 51 of the Act, the spread over should not exceed 10-1/2 hours.
How many hours (maximum) per day, week and year can a person work?

Chapter VI of the Act refers
Sec 51 Weekly working hours
Sec 54 daily working hours
Sec 57 Night working
I hope your query is answered.
6 days *8 hours working per day is permissible
I do hope as per your local state laws ,permission is given for your factory to have night shifts

Do you mean six consecutive night shifts, if so it is permissible under the Factories Act 1948, the only precondition being that the weekly holiday for that worker would be a period of twenty-four consecutive hours beginning from the end of the sixth shift of the week.

Even though it is for day or night both are allowed but you need to give weekly off after completion of 6 days working. Also, please insure to keep total number of working hours should not cross the prescribed limit of 48 hours.
