Handling Uninformed Employee Resignation
I want to know if any employee gives their resignation without informing and stops coming to the office. In this case, what should the HR person do?
Actually, in my office, one employee has stopped coming to the office without informing us. When we contacted him to find out why he is not coming to the office, he said he has some medical issues. However, we believe he is lying because his manager informed us that he has accepted a job offer from another company. He is not willing to submit his medical documents and also refuses to serve the notice period. This is affecting our company's costs.
Please, can anyone suggest what I should do in this case?

It is not clear, as per the above-mentioned details, whether he has submitted his resignation or not. In case he hasn't submitted his resignation and has been absconding for a long time, you can send him the following sequence of letters: first, an absenteeism letter, then a second letter requesting an explanation, and finally, the third letter for termination. Please dispatch all letters through registered AD and also forward them to his personal email address. Remember to keep all records for future reference. There should be a gap of at least 7 days between the dispatch dates of each letter.
