I have a query regarding minimum wages act. I am working for a NGO which is registered under society. The work of NGO is to provide education to underprivileged children.

Not that employment in any industry/industrial establishment as defined under any applicable Labor Law would, as it is, attract the application of the Minimum Wages Act,1948.The employment in such an industry should have been brought into the schedule of the said Act by the appropriate Government. The poster may check the notification if any made in this regard by the Central or respective State Government under the MW Act,1948 in respect of educational institutions.
