I had joined a company in 16.01.2013 on appointment letter was mentioned 15days for probation period after confirmation one month notice period or one basic lieu. In mean while our company sold some of the assets and some of the employees also were merged the new company, but the company were not merged the payroll to the along with existing with employees the company paid our salaries to third party of their company.
Now I was submitted my resignation on 25.05.2018 our reporting was accepted but our HR team was not reliving to me. They are asking to serve the notice period. I requested to relive on or before 09.06.2018. I got an opportunity to other company the offer to join on or before 15.06.2018.
If i join the company new company can i face legal problems from my previous company.
kindly suggest to me.

It is better to quit cleanly by remitting the cash equivalent of the remaining notice period by buying the remaining notice period. One can never predict the likely legal problems if you jump off the legal obligations.
