Let me know what is the measurement of diameter of the lifeline rope for anchoring the safety belt with full body harness. while doing the fragile roof sheet work.

Dear Chandan,
Your answer: Use only 10mm (3/8”) wire rope for life line.
More for you: while lifelines are used they shall be fastened to fixed safe anchorage points capable of supporting 2300 Kg, shall be independent, and shall be protected from sharp edges and abrasion.
Safe anchorage points include structural members, but do not include guard rails, standpipes, vents, and other small diameter piping systems, electrical conduits, outrigger beams, or counterweights.
Horizontal life lines shall be maintained with sag at the center no greater than 300 mm for every 10 meters of lifeline length between attachment points.
Why I give the details though you asked only the diameter ?
Reason is quite simple: When someone asks fundamentals like this it is easy to realize that he is either not a safety professional or he may be a newcomer or a student. Whatever may be the calling I appreciate those who ask questions instead of continuing with ignorance. In safety always seek help instead of false pretense. In the long run it will help. Please feel free to shoot your doubts. I am sure this forum is for you !

Dear Dipil,
Thanks, you still remember my name.
I was wondering whether there was any discussion so far on lightening safety. Many die in the season and it is heartening to see the reports.
Let us see the outcome.

Dear Sir,
Thanks.
I do remember your name always as one of my mentor even though we never had even a telephonic discussion. The knowledge I accrued through the discussions in this forum is what I considered as the foundation which help me to grow further.
Regarding the Lightning Safety, we do not have many threads/discussions in this forum. I could find the below thread related to the topic.

Lightning safety is really a detailed technical topic. In the NBC 2016, it is detailed in Part 8. I still not read it completely. I would say, I end up in checking the basics when comes to lightning protection during the audits such as Lightning Protection Plotting had been done or not, continuity & resistance checking mechanism, its frequency, test results, etc.
Would be happy to go in depth to gain more knowledge on this topic.
Looking forward for your response and participation from other members on this topic.
Request to other members - please come up with what you know and with any concerns if you have around this topic. Let's try to bring out a meaningful discussion on this topic. Thanks.
