I am working as Manager - HR & Operations for a tile company based at Gujarat. We are in the process of restructuring the team and implementing new system for sales& business development. New team is hired and will be joined on coming June 11th & planning for excellent training to be delivered. Please comment if any suggestions
Dear Sandhya,
You have written that you work in a tile company. However, is it a just trading company or you have manufacturing activity as well? In either case, success of your company depends on how you manage supply chain of your company. Therefore, any training programmes that you conduct, their focus has to be on cost reduction of supply chain.
Training on supply chain is required not just for procurement professionals but for sales personnel as well. Many times, sales persons give wrong projection of the demand and this creates pile up of inventory of finished goods or of raw material. This in turn blocks the working capital and ultimate result is erosion of the competitiveness of the company.
Lastly, about your query on "New Training Techniques". By conducting training programmes, whether new or otherwise, we must be able to measure the training effectiveness. If you could not measure the ROI, then those training efforts are just wasted.
For further queries if any, feel free to contact me. Earlier, I have given exhaustive reply on the subject of training. Check the following link to refer it:
