Dear All,
There is a Target of every HR personnel to give at least one or two New InitiAative for the quarter or say within six months. It is normally one of our KRAs. Can anybody give some new ideas in this regard? But except Birthdays,Work funs etc.You can share your experience too.It should be resulted in Cost cutting,simplification of work processes etc..Please give inputs...

Ya off course you can elect employee of the month, u can go for suggestion box, you can go for motivating activities like loyalty bonus for long run employees who completed there five years with you.

Apart from B'days and Having Fun there are many a things which you can bring into your organization like

create a day with different name - say Pink day - on this day u ask all your employees to wear a pink dress

create a Fun Day (say 4-5 hours) in a month - have a get-together including the Top management and arrange the antakshari, mimicry competitions, m,anagement games, caroms, chess etc

have the white board appreciations - you can have the mic as well in the office where manager can appreciate his team member over the mic while writing on the white board; so that he/she would feel great and i believe this is the best way to boost the employees morale

recognize the best talent and pick employee of the month and stick on his pic on the notice board along with the appreciation letter

plan for outings - you can plan team wise say team has delivered the project in time and you want to appreciate them just send them along with thier manager to a restraunt or resort, so that they can have fun and come back with zeal to work

You can also try following programs
1. Ask to arrange the informal groups irrespective of Age, grade and Designation, and than that informal group has to take the responsibility for any of work in our company such as House Keeping, Canteen Management, conducting Programs etc. You have to watch the each group to find out their performance and issue any price for that Group
2. May arrang the Sports Day
3. Put a “Effective Suggestion Box” in your Company Gate (Speify the Period like 10 days ) – And Place the Circular such as “ Give your Suggestion to Improve our Organization Performance?” Also Note that if you give the Good reply, you will be awarded like that
You can get the Many useful reply for any problems – we are doing this practice every two year once
4. Arrange Company In House Magazine or E-Magazine

you can start with 3 cheers cards for anyone doing any extra ordinary or any good act/ kind/gesture. and you add the points for the numbers to cards received and give the weightage in the appraisal form.
