I am working in company. my boss ordered to bring a 5KG gas cylinder from another division of our company. When I was bring. It the cylinder fell from bike and lost somewhere. I searched for it but I did not get it. When it told it to my employer he asked me to pay for the cylinder and demanded new cylinder. I have to pay for this now.?
I want to ask whether is it legal act as done by employer? Can he ask me to compensate?? Please. Help me.. cylinder cost 5000.

Dear Friend,
We have to admit that due to our carelessness the cylinder was lost. It is a loss to company so they have every right to recover it from you. If the cylinder belongs to you not the employer in that case to whom you will ask.
However, You can request your employer for relaxation of some amount and allow you to pay in installment.

Dear Mr Harish,
Let take this scenario this way.. you are running a business by your hard earn money and you gave some responsibilities to your employee... and he did a same thing. what will be your reaction?
In every company there are some rules regarding company properties.
