Dear all greetings i would like to know about the offer letter/appontment letter format. i have joined recently with an it comapny 60 employees.here there is no saparate appointment letter.using same offer letter as appointment letter. is offer and appointment letter are same? hope you will share your views asap thanks & regards sritha.r

Hi all i have gone through lots of discussion threads where two terms are always referred i.e. offer letter and appointment letter. my question is: 1. what is the difference between an offer letter and an appointment letter? one difference that i know is company issues an offer letter to candidates after selection and the candidate can accept or reject the same. and once an employee joins the company then on the doj company provides an appointment letter. please let me know if there is any other difference? 2. from the legal aspect what is the difference between an offer letter and an appointment letter? 3. many employers don t provide appointment letters why?
Offer letter not sent for more than a week- hr making excuses
I have given an interview in a company. there were two rounds and i have cleared both. consequently hr asked me to send document on email. after i sent the documents i was told that the offer letter would be generated on the next day. this was 10 days ago but i still have not received the offer letter. i called the concerned hr official and they informed me that the offer letter could not be generated due to some technical difficulties. understandably i am very worried. what should i do in the circumstances? are the liable to generate and send me an offer letter?

Hi i recentkly joined a company. i accepected the offer based on the information provided on the offer letter. the appointment letter which was given to me 3 months after joining is very different from the offer letter contents. for example: a. probationperiod: 3 mons in offer vs 6 months in appointment letter b. notice period: 1 month vs 3 months and many more. so..my question to you is: > dosent this border on illegal and fradulant practice? > i am sure its unethical. so how do i tell me firm that this appointment letter is not accepectable to me. plpz advice. i took a 25 pay cut .. thinking it was a great opportunity. ..:
