Dear All, Employees having lot of concern n confusion about promotion and performance appraisal terminology. How they are different from one another . Like to have some thoughts from group.
Dear member,
You have raised the difference in the basic terms of Human Resource Management (HRM). However, question arises is what is your designation, what is the nature of industry and what efforts you have made to educate yourself. This forum is not for giving explanation on the basic terminology of HRM. Most of the books on HRM clarify these two terms. If not books on HRM, then at least you could have referred the dictionary. But unfortunately, it appears that you have not done that also. What you have asked is as good as spoon-feeding. While you may like to have it, but we the seniors prefer refraining from doing so.
Lastly, about maintaining anonymity about yourself. What is the logic in remaining anonymous? Your query does not merit anonymity. This facility is provided to the members who face workplace harassment or some other issue and disclosure of their identity is not in their interest. Therefore, use this facility sparingly.
