Dear All
Please share how to track attendance in CA Firm Employees as most of them either work at client's site or visit client very frequently. Employees used to come late in morning stating that they were working till late night at client's site. We have 80-100 employees and it is very difficult to trace the working hours / attendance.
For in-office staff, we use bio-metric. But again, for late comers (who do client's visits) they always say that I went to a client's location.

Hi,
You need to get their attendance approval through their superior for such works at client site.
Or else give an Out door duty format which can be signed by the concerned Superior as well as employee for your records. Simply you cannot give their salaries on verbal statements, get the justifications properly.

Team leaders should be made responsible to keep track of their staff.Simple SMSing by late working staff to team leaders who will keep him involved and aware.
Visits to clients should be well planned and approvals in writing.
Sudden changes should be done with prior permissions.
HODs should keep watch on audit task completion from time to time and ensure completion of audit/accounting work.
Give the employees a log book to maintain with details of work, timings and places they visited.

You have to co-ordinate with Clients, wherever your Employees are visiting regularly. Secondly you have to upgrade their job description, accordingly where thy will visit should informed as per schedule & same you have to checked with Client. It is very eazy.
