Its been a long i wanted to post a question for experienced HR professions.
We all are aware about the downfall of the telecom professionals, every now and then news of employee retrenchment or layoff is the common to read on. Recently i read a article where Idea cellular is planning to layoff thousands of his telecom professionals after merger with Vodafone. Lot of telecom company closed off.
In today's world everything is replaceable that i know still all this question disturb me to the core. You never know when we HR will be replaced by so called Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning(will post something soon on this).
Now my question is what will happen to those professionals who are at mid of their career or can say in their 40's where its tough to shift to new technologies or late to enter in the new technology.
As a HR what you think can be alternate career options for the telecom professions?
What skills or industry will welcome those unused telecom employees?
I appreciate the comments and suggestion on the same.
