Dear Moses... How can an employee worked 45 days in a week...? Please correct your sentence.
Dear Annonimous,
This has with reference to your query... please note in every company normal working hours are 9 hrs in a day including 1 hour break for tea and lunah.
Even as per the law a Workmen will be eligible for Overtime payment after working more than 9 hrs. in a day.
As you have not mentioned on what level your are working in your company; But, I assume your level may be above Workmen. Therfore, you are not entitle for Overtime.
But against extra working hours, mutually all the employees can request to your higher management to consider some monetary or non-monetary benefits towards extra working hours. (Benefits in terms of Incentive or Comp. off or Alternatively Saturday off etc...)
However, your Management not bond to consider any of above benefits in case if they don't want to.

Dear colleague,
As per Fact Act and State Shops Act, working hours per day are prescribed as 8 hours and 48 hours per week excluding lunch recess of half an hour .
Any excess hours beyond 8h pd / 48 hpw of working within prescribed limit is permissible provided OT at the double the rate of wages paid in case of workers.
In case of non-workman, time off for leaving early or coming late on occasions with prior permission is granted ti the extent of excess hours put in.

8hrs work per day is legal.which amounts to 48 hrs working per week. This excludes meals break or lunch break.Any hours more than this accounts for Overtime.

You have not mentioned you work in Govt sector or Pvt sector. You work on operative side or Administrave side.
Ok. Considering if you are working on operative side, telecom sector being essential services, in obvious conditions, when it demands you may have to work and solve the issues if it is technical side. For which your expertise might be used. However, there could not be any compulsion if it is not in any emergency in nature.
Thank you,
