I am working as Asst. HR Manager in a Medium Size Software Company. We want to Benchmark our compensation with at least 10 other software companies in India( especially in Trivandrum). I have to submit the report to my Head office in a week’s time. Looking forward to help from HR fraternity.

Survey Reports are expensive. My suggestion is to collect all the details of candidates interviewed by your company ( some might have come from competitor companies in your segment of the industry) and begin to benchmark what is your pay at various levels as compared to your counterparts. If you could not call certain candidates for an interview due to high current CTC, then that qualifies as an important outlier data point, wherein your Company cannot pay that high a salary for a given level, role.etc.
