I am a private sector employee going to resign after my 10 month of service.my mother is getting treated in an esi outlet probably need a surgery soon. I am going to abroad after few month. How long I could use my ESI benefits? Is there any need of my presence or signature in the treatment and reimbursement of lab tests.?my sister is just started working with esi account.. Whether it possible to get benefits for my mother from her account after my resignation,?

Please see whether dependent mother is eligible for super specialty treatment,because your service with the company is only for 10 months and as per ESI scheme, in order to be eligible for super specialty treatment, you should have contributed for at least 156 days in 2 years. If she is attached to your sister, then also medical care can be ensured but super specialty service cannot be availed. Please check by entering your IP No in the ESI's IP portal

sir, my wife worked as sr. teacher in a private school, she was resigned on April,2019
after her resigned , can she continue her ESIC account by self contributed amount or not?
she not join another service after her resignation.

Once resigned she cannot contribute to ESI but can avail medical benefits for six months.
