Dear all i need information regarding and allowances in salary. can any one tell me on how much salary tds is deducted and how should we start deducting it is there any company we have to look for taking care of tds and where pf is applicable? what is the number of employees required to deduct the pf and anything else you want to add to it if possible give me a salary structure for the salary of rs. 40000 and the allowances we can add is altamobile reimbursementmedical allowance and anything else you can add to it. i will be thavkful if you solve my query. regards priya

Pf contribution on basic salary - what is the rule says
Hi as per our current salary structure basic/hra/cca/conveyance/other allowances are the salary components and pf 12 is deducted only from basic salary. as per the understanding pf is to be deducted fro basic and da whereas we don t have da component it is deducted from only basic. basic salary as per the structure is approx 3540 of total earning. recently we had inspection by pf office and raised a query why we are deducting pf only from basic and not from other allowances. in this regards the following information could help in dealing with pf office request to please provide your inputs. 1 is there any stipulated method / of total earning etc for basic salary calculation 2 is there any rule that pf to be deducted from all salary components and not only from basic and da 3 is there any ruling etc to substantiate claim of pf deduction applicable only from basic and da etc kindly help.

Hi i am working with a small companythe co is having 20 employees and salary is between 10 to 30 k pm i want to do perfect salary structure as per current it slab for the employees where i can give them salary slip if gross salary is 30 k how should i prepare salary structure like what should be of basichra etc. i am going to prepare salary structure first time if you people help me it would be great help for me. if we mention medical allowances in salary slip is it necessary to tie up with medical or insurance co for the same? thanks jayu
Definition of basic salary for the purpose of pf
Dear colleagues i would like to seek your expert view on the issue that we are currently dealing. as per our current practice we were deducting pf on the max. basic of rs. 6500/. however as per new pf enhancement now pf deduction will be max. on basic of rs. 15000/. here we have the salary break as per the following: a basic salary b hra c cca d conveyance allowance e special allowance we are currently considering the basic salary only for pf calculation now i came to know about the case decision mp high court' 2011 where it was clearly mentioned that the pf will attract on all the allowances other than hra i.e. basic conveyance allow. cca spl. allow.. but as per my understanding it is still not clear means under dispute. in this context i would like to understand the following: 1. is it in case where minimum wage is less than the basic or will it be in all cases? pf on all allowances other than hra 2. as per my understanding while ascertain the minimum wages it will be on basis of gross salary include the basic all allowances. i will be highly obliged if you all may please clear my doubt on the above. with best dks
