hi.. i recently went through an interview from a mining company and it went well. They took me through their employment process, confirm my references and experience but then they couldn't confirm my degree. truth is i applied this position 2 years ago stating i have 2 diplomas relevant to the position and never scored an interview. this time i faked a degree and they end up confirming it with me.
University before they could validate it, i wrote a letter to the Hr manager confirming i made that up and why. i was their strongest candidate in the race and had already gone through physical medical examination hence i confessed before offer, is there any consideration they can make or they will just drop me?

Sad enough to state, that the company may not consider your CV at all.
Whether you made up the degree or not, company had discovered the false qualification.
An outside chance exists that they may consider your belated declaration of false degree, but to my mind it is doubtful.
