I've been asked by my company to devise a new tour and travel policy for our sales team. We have a team of about 20 sales people who travel all over the country to meet dealers and distributors. If anyone has anything for a trading firm or a sales firm, please help me out.

Initially you need to have the hierarchical structure ready and the allocation done in terms of allowances.
The components you can consider are traveling allowance, transportation allowance (local conveyancing) food allowance ,which can be daily allowance ( a broader term) it may include food,refreshment,hotel etc.
You can frame a draft and get approval on the figures from you boss.
