I have resigned from my Company in the month of Jan 2018, after serving the Organisation for 6 years as I wish to go on career break after marriage.
My increment for the FY 17-18 is due since April 17 ( Assessment period is 16-17) , and recently the management have passed the increment for all the employee with arrears WEF April 2017, now as I have given resignation they have not given me any appraisal for the period and giving me lame excuses and saying that I am not continuing my services till 31st march 2018 . Can anyone suggest what can I do. Technically I am eligible as they are giving post dated increments to all.

You are due for the increment. Till the time of release ,increment + arrears from April 17 need to be given,
Just because you are exiting does not mean that increment due from earlier date will be withheld.Speak/write to HR and press for the increment.

Dear Nathrao Sir,
Don't you think giving or not giving increment is a right of management. Do you really think the management will unnecessary spend the money and increase their liability in form of gratuity and PF for the person who is no longer with them. Sorry but, I don't find it right.

Aniket,
The company has to follow rules.
Increments are to be given as per schedule to those employees authorised and entitled to get it.
The employee was entitled for increment which was not given on time.
Arrears were given to all employees but to this employee not given as he resigned in Jan 2018.
It is not a correct approach and can cause legal difficulties.

I have relived from my company on 6th October after my resignation. The increment was not done till october , after my relieving i got to know that increment was done on 1st November along with arrears w.e.f 1st April 2017 to 1st November. Now when i asked the company for my arrears as i was worked with them till October, the company says that the increment was declared on 1st November & you were relived before that, so you are not eligible.
Is this correct sir ??

yes that's right. Please note that you are not eligible for increment unless you get the increment letter or office order stating the same. Your increment can be delayed or cancelled before that.
