Hi, I joined and left an IT company within 2 months in 2016. Submitted all my IT assets in their Bangalore office and got a clearance mail for the same. <This happened between May to July, respectively> Received mails from their HR department regarding payment of outstanding fees not paid for not submitting the laptop. Replied to each mail with the clearance mail which I received.
On January,2017 the person who sent me the clearance joined in the conversation between the HR mails and my replies that I have not submitted the laptop and it is still mapped to me. Replied him the same that "you issued the clearance mail on 13th August, 2016" and I submitted my IT assets including the laptop on 26th July,2016. January 2018, I receive a legal notice. However, since it is delivered to my native cannot answer it back as my parents have not got a hold to it. Need help, seriously.
