You should, to start with, get a general idea about various HR functions. For this you can get into a HR Generalist post which exposes to various HR functions at basic level like employee engagement, employee relations, grievance handling, performance management coordination, training needs and training programmes coordination, liaising with statutory authorities, statutory compliances etc. Thereafter you can get into more specialized areas.

Dear Siri,
Greetings !!! Your area of interest really does matter to take the next step in your career, I believe that the below mentioned points to be considered for the next level of decision.
i) Skill Enhancement can be done on the different levels. It can be by joining for a Certification Course in your area of interest (Specializing ) or in a way of job change but all that matters with your decision to which area you want to concentrate.
ii) HR has wide area options to specialize, it can be varied with the taste of the individual as mentioned above.A churn to HR Generalist will support you to have an overall idea or the spectrum of the life cycle of HR Activities and then you should decide on a specialization to concentrate more the development of your career.
If you could share me your area of interest then i could suggest you more in line .Thank You !!!
