My daughter is presently working in central govt autonomous body. She gave her resignation with one month notice period. In her appointment letter it was mentioned as one month notice on either side as per CCS Temporary service Rules. She's now permanent employee with 4 years service. But her resignation is not being accepted.
Nowhere it's mentioned that 3 months notice period should be given. Her resignation is neither accepted nor rejected and she's not being informed of the status of her case. Her management is not taking any action in the matter. Now her notice period is over. What is the further course of action to be taken in the matter?

There is a need to check the position. The notice period of one month is for the Temporary Service, which she has ceased to be. Now the notice period stands amended as per status of being a confirmed employee. In many instances, there is a general clause in appointment order/service conditions that an employee would be governed by the service rules as applicable. To rely upon the notice period as applicable to temp. service will not be valid, it is felt.
