Hi All. Can you please help me out with your suggestions if we need to plan Sick Leave/Casual Leave for 12 days annual (Sick leave 7 days and Casual leave 5 days) is there any provision for this Under The Karnataka Shops & Commercial Establishments Act, 1961.

As far as I knew, the provision says 12 days sick leave and Earned leave will be 1 day for every 20 days worked Can be accumulated up to 40 days. There is no provision for casual leave but if you want to give then you may do so on and above the limit.
to sanction leave, we have made policy as follows:-
CL due after 43.57 days totals leaves 7
EL due after 20 days 15
SL due after 21.78 days 14
only unavailed (balance ) earned leaves are encashed in the month of January.
