Reference the new Maharashtra Shops & Establishment Act 2017, have 2 queries :
a) Are we still required to obtain Registration / renewal for every location of the Organisation ?
( in case where there is more than 1 office in Mumbai / Maharashtra ?
b) Section 3 (11) of the Act is defining “worker” and the exclusions –excludes - worker occupying position of confidential, managerial or supervisory character in an establishment, a list of which shall be displayed on the website of establishments and in absence of the website at a conspicuous place in the establishment and a copy thereof shall be sent to the Facilitator; -
Does this mean we do not have to comply with the provisions for this category of "excluded" workers ? In effect we do not need to maintain records, documents etc for this category of "excluded" workers ?
Kindly advise.
