Employment Termination Without Notice
Hi, my name is Pinky. I work in a digital marketing institute in Dwarka, Delhi, and I live in Najafgarh. My designation is a career counselor, and I have been working with this institution for the last 7 months. However, one day, my employer asked me not to come to the office and did not pay me my salary. When I asked him how he could fire me without notice, after 4-5 days, he claimed that I had shared institute data with others, which is why he refused to pay my salary. Please tell me what to do. It has been 2 months now, and I am unable to survive. I come from a very poor family. Please guide me.

It appears that your service in the organization has not exceeded 240 days (only 7 months), so your claim against illegal termination of service lacks force. However, you are entitled to your wages, and it cannot be denied under the Payment of Wages Act/Min. Wages Act. You may approach the Labour Inspector in Dwaraka, stating the aforementioned facts in more detail, and seek his intervention.
