It was asked to me in an interview, if ESIC is not available in particular area of any state then what is the alternative adjustment done by Indian government?

Where ESI coverage is not there, automatically Employee Compensation Act 1923 becomes applicable.

Dear Sachin,
As rightly said by Mr. KK it will automatically falls under Employee Compensation Act 1923 and for that you can take one of the compensation policy available in the market which will reduce your / companies burden in case of sudden requirement.
