Hi, I have recently started a new company and wish to establish an HR framework on my on. What are the steps I should take to achieve this target?
What sort of policies should be in place, what all documents I need to collect from the new employees and what documents I need to provide to a new employee?
Kindly assist me with your expertise in this area.

How big is the company and what field of manufacture? Which state is the setup? Depending on these 2 basic questions further discussion regarding HR set up can carry on.

Ours is a 50+ employee team. We are into distribution and liasioning of pharmaceutical products. Our head office is based out of New Delhi, with two more offices in Kolkata and Lucknow.

Am N K Sundaram, a soft skill trainer and a HR Consultant. I retired from Larsen and Toubro after 33 years of service as Head of HR of an All India business unit. I provide consultancy for small and medium firms. In October, through one of the Linkedin contacts, who approached me for a help, myself and my friend visited Doha, Qatar for 8 days to provide HR auditing of a leading logistics firm, comprising of 400 employees. We found many things missing and helped them develop Org charts, KPI, KRA, JD etc. and they are launching the whole thing on 1st January. We are again visiting on 7th January for 3 weeks to identify other areas in HR for improving their performance, strengthening their foundation, policies and systems.
