If more number of ESIC leave falls in 2nd benefit period which daily rate will be considered for cash benefit?

Hi,
Maternity benefit rate is 100% of average daily wages for the period of absence (on leave). The last drawn wages are considered for calculation as it is expected that the employee could have been earning the same if she won't have taken the benefit of maternity.

But the confinement occurs in first benefit period.. Will that be a problem..?

No that won't be as the last contribution period would be taken into account for calculations.
