WC means workmen compensation ...now its know as Employee compensation ..... this act covers accident insurance only . BOCW act .... for welfare of construction workers .
Different coverage , applicability , puropse and beneficiaries .
No similarity in those acts.

I my understanding, if company engagedetails in any kind of construction or related works then BOCW act apply over you. In this case u have to look for BOCW policy other wise, not.

Manasi,
Greetings .....
I do not know if any Insurance Company is offering an Insurance Policy under BOCW Act or if at all there is an Insurance Policy that could cover all risks as detailed in BOCW Act which looks into almost all aspects of Construction activity and made certain guidelines for "safe working" at construction sites. BOCW focuses more on "Construction Safety" and provides guidelines to avoid unwanted accidents at site. It even specifys guidelines for use of heavy construction machinaries. Also, it covers Payment of Cess on value of Construction Work,
As far as I know, only WC and ESIC covers the risks involved in construction activities.

Dear Manasi
Your client is asking to take registration under the BOCW policy means you have been awarded work of construction. The B&OCW & The B&OCW Cess is for safety & welfare measure of the constrction workmen. Whereas, WC policy covers liability under compnesation to be paid to workmen, in case of any accident for losing owking capcity or fatal or partial or permanent disability. Hope this will enough to clarify your doubts.
