Dear Members, During Orientation program is it mandatory to explain each and every policy to new joinee.
I believe the company should only disclose the policy which is imp for the person like - leave, attendance, standard conducts, Harassment policy, Resignation process.
Please enlighten me with your thoughts. Thanks in anticipation.

b) Policy on Definition of Work Week
c) Policy on Employee Discipline
d) Policy on Employee Suggestion
e) Policy on Salary Advance and Financial Loan
f) Policy on Handing/Taking Brief
g) Policy on Official Language
h) Policy on Usage of Internet and other Company Assets
i) Policy on Protocol of Communication
j) Policy on Workplace Romance
k) Policy on Performance Appraisal
You have written that certain policies you would not like to disclose to the employees. What are those policies? Please give the list of those policies also.

Hi Priyanka,
Polices are for employees to have easy reference as & when they need. You point is good in way that all the policies may not be required at the time of orientation however Noting wrong in sharing all polices you have in force.
In fact, try to have HR policy manual covering all policies & Procedures and the same can be included in the induction kit which will be given to the new hire on the day of joining. This may help.

Dear Priyanka,
my suggestion is to make one handbook of HR manual for new joinee and give it to them for read it and back to the HR dept at the end of orientation program. it include all the policy and procedure including code of conduct.
