As per Tamil Nadu Gazette dated 7th August 2017, the Government of Tamil Nadu has amended the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (National and Festival Holidays) Act, 1958. As per the amendment the Government can now declare any day, other than holidays mentioned in the Act, as a special holiday with regard to any emergency or special circumstances prevailing in the State or any part thereof. State Government shall by separate notification release the effective dates for this Act.

Is this rule applicable to construction sector in tn
kindly advise will contract labour is eligible for National Festival holiday /Festival Holiday.
Will he/she may claim the monitory benefit by law.

If a employee took leave before and after of national festival/Festival holiday shall we cut leave as it as leave or we have pay salary.
